The Hong Kong Men's 4X100 Relay Team is honoured “No. 1 in Asia” because they brought home Hong Kong’s first Asian Athletics Championships relay gold medal in 2013, and their record of 38.94 seconds was the fastest in Asia within that year. However, this relay team had also suffered a setback: the team was the one to beat in the National Games last year, but they lost because their relay baton was dropped. Nevertheless, they bounced back to win the silver medal in the East Asian Games one month later. Thus shows how fast the four athletes could adjust their mentalities and the exceptional qualities they have.
The members of this team include Lai Chun-ho, Tang Yik-chun, Tsui Chi-ho and Ng Ka-fung. In the past couple of years, they did well in many international competitions, and achieved results no worse than those of the athletes from China, Japan and South Korea.
In this Asian Games, the Hong Kong Men's 4X100 Relay Team was ousted at first. At last, the members managed to turn things around, win a medal and give full play to team spirit.
