The Hong Kong Men's Foil Team has good performances in the last Asian Games, East Asian Games and National Games, both in team and individual events. In his early twenties, team member Choi Nicholas Edward made his breakthrough. Apart from winning the Foil Team gold medal in the East Asian Games, he made the top 4 in the National Games, only to be beaten by Lei Sheng, the gold medalist of the London Olympics, by 3 points and took the bronze medal. This year, the second-ranked Choi Nicholas Edward will make his Asian Games debut, and his target is to win medals, making the top 3 in individual event and winning gold in team event.
Cheung Siu-lun is a veteran of the Men’s Foil Team, and has been representing Hong Kong in international competitions for more than a decade. He won the silver medal in the Men's Foil Individual in the last Asian Games in Guangzhou and achieved Hong Kong’s best result at the tournament. In this Asian Games, Cheung Siu-lun and Choi Nicholas Edward will participate in the Men’s Foil Individual and face the challenge.
